AFL Power Rankings: Round 12 2013

RISING UP

With two good wins against West Coast and Adelaide, Richmond rise to the top of the mid-range pack. But with only seven ranking points separating 5th from 11th, it doesn’t take much to move back down again, as evidenced by …

FALLING DOWN

… the Adelaide Crows, who have crashed from 5th to 11th after last week’s thrashing from Sydney, and then being beaten comfortably this week by the Tigers. The Crows were last year’s big improvers, but they are coming closer to returning to negative ranking point territory.

ALSO OF NOTE

Not much really. With six teams having the week off there weren’t too many movements in the rankings.

1 (Last week: 1) Hawthorn 31.4 (Last week: 33.3)
2 (2) Sydney 29.3 (30.9)
3 (4) Geelong 22.9 (23.2)
4 (3) Fremantle 21.9 (23.8)
5 (7) Richmond 14.1 (11.1)
6 (6) West Coast 12.6 (12.4)
7 (5) Collingwood 12.0 (14.2)
8 (9) Carlton 9.7 (8.6)
9 (10) North Melbourne 7.4 (8.1)
10 (11) Essendon 7.0 (6.7)
11 (8) Adelaide 6.7 (9.1)
12 (12) St. Kilda -9.6 (-8.7)
13 (13) Port Adelaide -12.2 (-14.4)
14 (14) Gold Coast -16.0 (-14.6)
15 (15) Brisbane -21.2 (-22.1)

  1. Melbourne didnt play, and they 'rank up'?
    Are you really Roby?
Or did you factor the Neeld termination in?

  2. The one I thought I'd have to explain is Sydney dropping 1.5 points (haven't checked, but I'm assuming it's because their win against the Crows last week is rated less highly now).
