Alright, there’s no way to pretend this post isn’t self-indulgent … This weekend, Triple J are counting down the Hottest 100 songs of the past 20 years, as voted by aging Gen Xers. And I saw a blog post this morning with 10 personal favourites, so what the hell… I’m going to post my favourite 100 songs from the past 20 years. There’s no way I’m going to go through and justify all my selections, but most of my top favourites were discussed a few years back. And in the spirit of Triple J countdowns there’s a Powderfinger song in there, and an Australian song is #1.
